I first read this book when I was about 6 and absolutely loved it.

It was my absolute favorite book when I was that age. Many libraries today don't have a copy of this book and so a lot of modern children have never read it. Bring this book back in print!
I purchased my copy of this book at a used booksale on a whim and I am so glad I did!
Although the illustrations are simple, this is a book with an important message which is also fun to read. I highly recommend it for this reason, as well as the fact that it dives into Native American traditional story telling, which is so important to pass onto all generations. It is a great way to create intrigue into the culture, or at the stories, of the Native Americans.
